Introduction
📍 And hello everybody. Welcome back to this episode of The Corvus Effect. I'm Scott, and this is my TLDL summary. Too long, didn't listen with my conversation with. Bianca and Sal Carbone wonderful chat, thinking about how fathers can truly influence the success path of their children. And it was. A beautiful expression of the core message of our conversation that family values shape entrepreneurial journeys and the approaches to wellness that come from authentic connections, creating the foundation.
For sustainable success. So let's dive into a few of the key points. Certainly if you enjoy this five-ish minute summary that's coming up, I encourage you to go back and listen to the full episode.
Transforming Challenges into Purpose
But one of the things that we talked about was transforming challenges into. Purpose. So specifically with Bianca, we talked about some of the health challenges that she faced.
Also, some of the environmental challenges such that Covid completely disrupted her senior year, completely disrupted her professional path, and she had to build something from scratch in terms of her online coaching business, mainly because there weren't a lot of great. Options for her to pursue that allowed her to continue to align with her passions.
And really as we think about the Corvus platform as a whole, that how we deal with life's unexpected turns can lead us to our true calling. The universe works in mysterious ways, and we may not be able to see it. At the present time, it may confuse us, for lack of a better term, and we have to have some trust that while we should always feel like we have choice, we should always feel that we have empowerment and ownership towards the legacy that we are pursuing.
We also have to have trust that the environment is always working in our favor to help guide us in that direction. So being able to roll with the punches and be able to create purpose out of it. Definitely a spot on message as it relates to what we teach here. Another thing.
The Importance of Family Values
You've talked about the importance of family values as part of that leadership foundation and South story in terms of growing up in a very large Italian immigrant family with 12 children and how those family values shaped his leadership style, where he was there, where everybody was working on fields together.
And they shared the meals over wood-burning ovens, true connection, and it really taught him the importance of hard work, community, being able to have those close bonds with. Family and ultimately being able to then pass those over to his children, including Bianca, so that they would be the ones to carry the family legacy forward in whatever they did.
Such an important message for us when we talk about legacy and we think about how we pass it down to the people in our tribe, particularly our family and our kids. There are the things that we want to inspire them with such that they want to emulate us at the end of the day. And knowing what those traits are and being able to put the pleas in place such that that actually happens is very much a part of our philosophy here at Corvus.
So. Please make sure that you're doing that with the folks in your tribe.
Authentic Relationships and Community
And finally, we're talking about how those authentic relationships, particularly with a lot of their families still back in Italy, it transcends distance. And they recently made a trip back to Italy and there were just short of 51st cousins that were all together there.
Sharing food, sharing laughs, sharing memories, and almost as if nobody had ever left. And that's such a beautiful thing in terms 📍 of when your relationships are real and they're authentic. Distance and time do not. Matter and Bianca put it beautifully in terms of how she brings this to her own business.
She said, I treat my online community the way I would treat my family. With warmth, remembering details about their lives and following up genuinely, and for those who are closest to you in your life. I certainly try to do this in my life with 📍 my wife and my kids and those friends who are very, very close to me.
Do you remember these little things? Do you remember the moments that matter? Are you the person who will follow up with them because they know that something big is happening just to check in? Are you doing that so that you are developing that sense of authentic connection? Take this as my. Mentioned to you so that you do try to employ that into your life as much as possible.
